PARADOX 

.....is a big fat mixture of lightheartedness and depth, filled with subtleties and bold strokes. For me, it's always hard to give synopses of things that take up big spaces in my heart, especially when all I can think of is that life is paradox - beauty and pain, big and small, easy to describe and yet not easy at all. As I listen to all of the songs as a collective I realize that the identity of Paradox lies in trust. Trusting the process of being human, trusting the path of discovery when it first must begin with questions and often doubt; trusting that curiosity brings about more than feigning knowledge; trusting that the essence of God is capable of holding all my questions of why I'm here and what exactly is truth; trusting that following the intuition that I possess as an individual will ultimately bring about a deeper wholeness with all that lives, even if it doesn't seem to right away. As far as the sound, Paradox lives in the Folk/Americana vein for the most part! There are doses of funk and jazz, doses of acoustic delicacy, doses of piano and cello to tap into your sensitivity, and doses of bluegrass to wake you up! I'm proud of these songs and unbelievably lucky to have worked with such incredible people to make them into what they are. I'm beyond excited to release Paradox into the world and I hope you enjoy the heck out of it!!
